Welcome to Alpharetta Presbyterian Church!

We are a Christ-centered family of believers, committed to growing spiritually, worshipping joyfully, and sharing God’s love daily.

We're glad you stopped by to visit us online.  Many of our church guests make their first visit with us on our web site.  We hope that you'll return to this page often and consider joining us at the church sometime.

Traditional worship and Christian service are the foundations of our church.  We gather as a community of faith, listening for God's call to us, and affirming God's saving Grace through the love of Jesus Christ.  We then go out into the world, to serve wherever God calls us.

Our congregation includes people from all walks of life and many faith backgrounds.

If you are new to APC, you might start your web visit by following the Welcome Visitors link and then learn more about our worship and activities by using the menu to the left.
Thanks for coming by. We hope to see you among us soon.

Rev. Ollie Wagner, Pastor

What You Can Do to Help Haiti

As God's people, we are called to stand in the "GAP" - GIVE, ACT, PRAY

Give

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) has established a special fund for Haitian relief, with the goal of raising $1,000,000.  There are two ways that you can contribute to this fund; either writing a check to Alpharetta Presbyterian Church and designating it for Haitian Disaster Relief, or by giving online through this link to PDA.  Your gifts, combined with those of others, provide a visible and tangible demonstration of God’s care in the midst of this tragedy. Recovery will be a difficult and long process, but Presbyterian Disaster Assistance has time and time again modeled a faithful response over the long haul.

The most effective response that you can offer is financial support so that the professionals and trained volunteers engaged in the response can have the necessary support.

Act

Many organizations and agencies have begun drives to collect materials for relief in Haiti.  Unfortunately, damaged infrastructure and difficulties in packaging and shipping these items limit the effectiveness of local collection efforts.  Although material donations and mission trips may become practical in the future, effectiveness in the initial response will be limited to personnel already in the region, trained and prepared groups, and government resources.

APC has previously donated supply kits for medical workers, personal hygiene, and baby care to the disaster preparedness programs of PDA.  More kits will be needed to replenish inventories.  The APC Mission Committee will be organizing additional activities in the future.

Pray

Please continue in prayer for all who have who lost friends and families, those who lost homes, and those seeking a sense of security after being affected by this tragic earthquake.  Lift up those affected by this tragedy and those seeking to provide aid.

Please fill out a card by Saturday of the previous week, for each dinner you plan to attend. The cost this year is $6 per person and $3 for ages 2-6. You may signup by the week, by the month or for the entire 2009-2010 school year! The cards and the reservation box are found on the table in the lobby. It is very important that you make a reservation for each week because this year we will be cooking close to the exact numbers to stay within our budget.
