We're glad you stopped by to visit us online. Many of our church guests make their first visit with us on our web site. We hope that you'll return to this page often and consider joining us at the church sometime.
Traditional worship and Christian service are the foundations of our church. We gather as a community of faith, listening for God's call to us, and affirming God's saving Grace through the love of Jesus Christ. We then go out into the world, to serve wherever God calls us.
Our congregation includes people from all walks of life and many faith backgrounds.
If you are new to APC, you might start your web visit by following the Welcome Visitors link and then learn more about our worship and activities by using the menu to the left.
Thanks for coming by. We hope to see you among us soon.

Search has begun for Temporary Supply Pastor & Director of Youth Ministries
The search has begun for a Temporary Supply Pastor for Congregational Life and a Temporary Director of Youth Ministries. We hope and pray that by the end of summer, our searches will be complete and Session will have gifted, talented, faithful and well-suited candidates to employ. Both of these positions will be one-year contracts which are renewable.
In the Pastor for Congregational Life search we are seeking an ordained Presbyterian Minister who will work in the areas of congregation care, fellowship, education, missions and worship leadership (to name a few!) This will be a full-time position with benefits. The search committee is being chaired by Delos Knight and consists of Anna Caudle, Melody Cookson, Wendy Curl, Jim Kennedy, Jeanne Kreiser and David Semones.
The search for a Youth Director is being chaired by Lisa McKemey. To allow for more youth input, that committee is larger and consists of Jeff Anton, Carl Appen, Shelly Berlyoung, Phil Busman, Alex Cory, Scott Doll, Peggy Messawer and Greg Raabe. This position is part-time with no benefits and is designed much like our Director of Children's Ministries. Our youth director will be working with youth leadership to develop and coordinate an inviting and engaging youth ministry program that incorporates fellowship, service, worship and study.
What can you do?
1) Pray for the success of these important searches and give thanks for those serving.
2) Lend a hand wherever you can. In this time of staff transition, the church needs you!
3) Pass the word to your friends so that we attract many, many qualified applicants.

Strategic Planning Initiatives
Earlier this year, the session established a set of initiatives for 2010 related to goals set forth in the 2009 Strategic Plan. These 2010 initiatives range from a few simple updates to more ambitious programs. All of them are listed on the Strategic Planning page. Progress reports will be updated as new information is made available so that our members and friends can track their progress.
