EldersOur elected elders, along with our pastoral staff, compose The Session. The elders govern the church according to the Book of Order. They are responsible for leading worship, setting our strategic direction, and providing leadership to our many programs and activities.

Dianne Berry has been a member of APC and a Presbyterian since 1997. She previously served as an ambassador, deacon and elder at APC. As an active member, she has taught Sunday school, kinderkirk, and Vacation Bible School. Additionally, she has served on the APC Dayschool Board, Presbyterian Women’s Coordinating Team, and an associate pastor nominating committee. She has been married to Dave for more than 19 years and is mother to three children. When time permits, she enjoys gardening, cooking, tennis, fitness, and martial arts. |

Michelle Burton became a member of APC more than 10 years ago. She was reared in the Catholic Church and become a Presbyterian shortly after getting married. She has been involved with a number of youth activities, serving as a member of the Youth Ministry Committee, leading several fundraisers, and chaperoning youth mission trips. While a member of Mount Vernon Presbyterian, she served as the Vacation Bible School director. Michelle is a CPA and the accounting manager for Infomentis, a sales training company. She has been married to David for 23 years, and they have three children. She enjoys reading, Bible study, and family activities. |

Morris Estes is a native Georgian and life-long Presbyterian. He is a Managing Director in the corporate finance group at GE Capital Healthcare Financial Services. Morris joined APC in 2001. He has served on the Commitment Committee and the Capital Campaign Leadership Team. He is active with the Children’s Ministry, and has appeared in several ACT1 productions. Morris, his wife, Jennifer, and two children live in the Windward community. He is a board member of the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia and enjoys running, cycling, and coaching youth sports. |

Jim Gray has been a member of APC for five years. He has served as a deacon and was a member of the 2009 Commitment Committee. Jim retired as a Delta Air Lines pilot in 2003 and lives with his wife Lynne in Cumming. They have two sons and two granddaughters. |

Amy Rogers grew up Presbyterian in Maryland. She and her husband, Jerry, joined APC in 1990. Ordained as an elder that same year, she has served on our session twice before. A former high school English teacher, she has also taught in APC’s PW, Disciple, Sunday school, VBS, and Whiz Kid programs. She has served on several nominating committees for PW and church officers as well as an associate pastor nominating committee. Amy and Jerry have a daughter who recently graduated from Auburn University. |

Jean Williams was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania and reared in the Methodist faith. She later became a Presbyterian and was in the first class of women deacons at the Church of the Covenant in Erie, PA. Later, while residing in Florida, she served two terms on the session of First Presbyterian Church of Eustis. Jean became an APC member five years ago and has served as a deacon. She sings in the choir, belongs to Lydia Circle, is active with the STARS group, and is in her fourth year of Disciple Bible Study. Jean was married for 52 years. She has four children and thirteen grandchildren. Jean enjoys family, music, and travel. |

Jessie Prigge is currently a sophomore at Alpharetta High School. She has served on the Youth Council and is very involved in the youth group, participating in numerous mission trips. She also volunteers as a Kinderkirk and VBS leader. At school, Jessie is an athletic trainer for the football team and varsity basketball team and is a member of the girls' varsity golf team. Her parents are Bill and Melissa Prigge. Her brother Will is in his first year at the University of Georgia, and her sister Nicole is in the process of moving to Alpharetta from New Jersey. |

George Bancroft began his Presbyterian life in 1992 at Covenant Presbyterian of Albany, Georgia. There, he started and facilitated a divorce recovery program, organized a new Sunday school class and served as a deacon. In 1995 George moved to Atlanta and Peachtree Presbyterian where he continued as a divorce recovery facilitator and became part of the Stephen Ministry program. After becoming reacquainted with his junior high girlfriend, they married and found their way to APC. Their blended family includes our 5 children, 3 spouses, 6 grandchildren, and 1 grandchild on the way. |

Jodie Barger has been a member of APC since 1991. Jodie is the mother of 3 children (ages 20, 18, and 4) and has been married to Dennis for 22 years. She has spent many hours volunteering with the PTA, Girl Scouts and her neighborhood homeowners' association. Jodie has served on the church membership committee, as a youth leader, and as a deacon. She appeared in one of ACT1's first plays, Nunsense. She has been a part of the Martha Circle and has been a part of a Disciple group for 6 years. |

Patrick Dennis grew up in the First United Presbyterian Church in Marietta, Ohio and has been active in Presbyterian and Methodist churches through out his life. He is married to Brooke Smith, and they have two boys, Aaron, age 17, and Quinn, age 13, who are active in the APC youth program. Pat is active with the Boy Scouts of America and is the scoutmaster at Troop 69, Alpharetta First United Methodist Church. The majority of Pat’s career has been in the major appliance industry, and he is currently employed at Hettich America, L.P. Pat and Brooke have been APC members since 2005. |

Stacy Guy has been an active member of APC since joining in 2002. He is the assistant coordinator of the Whiz Kids tutoring program at Mimosa Elementary and is a member of the handbell choir. He works for Equifax as a software quality assurance engineer. Stacy and his wife Robyn have a daughter, Elizabeth, and a son, David. |

Nancy Hill and her husband Dennis joined APC in 2002. They have one grown daughter and two grandchildren. Nancy is a member of the Esther Circle and has served as a Bible study leader. She has also been the membership chair of the PWCT and has served on its retreat committee. Nancy has been a Whiz-Kids tutor at Mimosa School for the last 7 years and has been involved in several Disciple classes. |

Lynn Danson joined APC in 1997. During those 14+ years, she has been an active participant in the music ministry and has served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, as a non-elder member of the Worship Committee, Long Range Planning Committee and Congregational Life Committee. Lynn has participated in the Disciple Bible Study program since 2003. Lynn and her husband, Daniel, have two daughters, Elizabeth and Katelyn, who are now attending Auburn University. Lynn is a sales manager at Appen Newspapers in Alpharetta. |

Jan Hughey is married to Elizabeth and has a couple of special grandsons who attend APC with their parents. He is a Vietnam veteran and has degrees from the United States Military Academy and the Ohio State University. He is a former member of the United Church of Gainesville (FL) where he served as chairman of the Finance Committee, chairman of a capital campaign and as moderator.

Kylie Vacko is a sophomore at Blessed Trinity High School. As a member of APC for the past 11 years, she has participated in Sunday school, mission trips, youth group, and Vacation Bible School. She has also served as an assistant for APC art camp, VBS and Kinderkirk. Kylie is the daughter of Laura and Rob Vacko. |

Scott Doll has been an APC member since 1996 and has served the church in a variety of capacities over the years. He is presently serving his fourth year as a youth advisor and a member of the Youth Ministry Committee. Elected to the diaconate in 2009, Scott chaired the Hospitality Committee. Scott presently serves as executive director of Mission Advancement for YMCA. Scott, his wife, Suzanne, and their three children, Ryan (18), Kristen (16), and Cara (12), have lived in Alpharetta for 16-years. |

Molly Elkind was reared in the Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ohio and has been a member of APC, with husband Sam and daughter Emily, since 2003. The family also includes a son, David. Molly co-leads the Liturgical Arts Committee and serves on the Worship Committee. In the past she has served as a deacon and on the Pastor Nominating Committee. Molly is self-employed as a weaver, textile artist and art educator. |

Stu Laubenstein is originally from Rochester, NY and currently resides in Alpharetta, having moved here six years ago from New Jersey. He and his wife Cindy and their children, Lindsey and Kyle, have been members of APC for most of those years. He currently serves as a member of the Personnel Committee, is an usher at the 11 a.m. service and has taught both adult and children's Sunday school classes. During the week he works for The Willis Group, a large insurance broker where he leads risk management for a health care company. In his spare time Stu enjoys reading, playing tennis, coaching baseball and attending the sporting events of his high school and middle school children. |

Anne Mahone joined APC in April 1989. She has participated in adult Sunday school, adult choir, VBS, Whiz Kids and Presbyterian Women where she has served as moderator and as circle leader of both Lydia and Sarah Circles. For the past eight years, she has enjoyed various Disciple Bible studies and has served as a leader of several of these studies. In 2005, Anne retired from Delta Air Lines where she worked for 27 years as a flight attendant. She and her husband Mike live in Sandy Springs and are the parents of two grown daughters, Mary Anne and Laura. |

Charles Moriarty has been a member of APC since 1998. Charles has served as a deacon, Disciple leader, and Nominating Committee member. He has been involved in several church projects such as the construction of the new kitchen cabinets and the renovation of the trailer used by Centro Familiar Cristiano. He is retired from Kimberly-Clark Corporation and lives in Cumming with his wife, Cissy. They have two adult sons, Gary who lives in Rossville, GA, and David who lives in San Jose, CA with his wife and daughter. |

Sarah Provow has been a member of APC for 18 years. She and her husband, Lee, have two children, Chad and Emily, a daughter-in-law, Rachel, a son-in-law, Joe and, best of all, an 8 month old granddaughter, Yardley. Sarah worked at APC as the first ever director of Children’s Ministries and then was on the founding board of directors of Lionheart School. She currently co-owns a business, Bloomin’ Bouquets: Unique Floral and Event Design. |

Ferrell White is a native of Georgia. He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree as well as several other degrees and professional designations. He has taught as adjunct faculty or guest lecturer at three universities. The father of two children by a first marriage, and now the grandfather of two by virtue of his second marriage in the year 2000. Ferrell and his lovely wife, Lois, live in south Forsyth County. Ferrell enjoys travel, music and boating on Lake Lanier.
