APC DaySchool Curriculum
|

We believe children learn best with a balance of teacher directed and child initiated activities that encourage thinking, reasoning, and communication. Our curriculum reflects current educational research and aligns with Georgia’s Pre K content standards.

Preschool
|
|
| |
We have divided our preschool curriculum into seven areas: |

| Social and Emotional |
|
Develop confidence, curiosity, initiative, self-direction and self-control |
| Physical Development |
|
Participate in a variety of gross and fine motor activities |
| Creative Expression |
|
Participate in music, art and drama activities |
| Language |
|
Develop listening skills, discriminate beginning sounds, age appropriate writing and expressive skills |
| Mathematics |
|
Sort and classify, understanding basic shapes, patterns and numbers |
| Science |
|
Acquire knowledge related to life, physical, earth and health science |
| Social Studies |
|
Develop an appreciation for his/her role as a member of the family, the classroom and the community |

Mothers Morning Out
|

Our Mother’s Morning Out curriculum is divided into 3 areas: |
